Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) will encounter a mysterious stranger following Doug Williams’ (Bill Hayes) funeral, so she’ll definitely have questions when he shows up out of the blue. Once this stranger introduces himself as Doug, Julie will be even more perplexed.
CDL previously speculated Peyton Meyer would be portraying Doug’s grandson and that he’d share a name with his late grandfather.
Now TV Insider confirms Meyer is playing Doug Williams III and that Doug’s grandson will make his debut on Tuesday, December 3.
Longtime DOOL fans know Doug wasn’t always the devoted family man that he ultimately turned into.
There was a time when Doug was a con man instead, so his grandson will inherit some of his grandpa’s old sneaky tendencies.
Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) will be suspicious of Doug III right off the bat, but he may charm Julie into loving him since she’s missing his namesake so much.
For Julie, it may feel like her husband has delivered a miracle by sending his grandson her way.
Julie will be losing one Doug and gaining another, so Days spoilers suggest that’ll bring her great joy in the coming episodes.
Of course, that could also give young Doug a chance to take advantage of Julie’s trust and kindness.
Hope may find herself wondering if this family connection is even legit, so she might do some investigating to see what else she can uncover about Doug III.
Since Hope will sense this guy is bad news, she’ll probably want to get some updates on his background.
Whatever the case, Days viewers will want to give Peyton Meyer a warm welcome to the show!

Although Meyer took a break from acting for a while, he decided to jump back in and booked this Days gig pretty much immediately.
It sounds like it was all meant to be, so DOOL fans will be eager to see Meyer’s first appearance and get to know Doug III.
