Tonight was the Season Finale! It started off with a group of four. There was Teeny, Sue, Rachel, and Sam. Just last week Sam betrayed his one last ally in the game to protect himself. He told everyone that Genieve’s idol was fake.
He put Genieve in the crosshairs. She was voted out last week because of him. He was then left with a group of women that have already formed their own alliance. Teeny was a bit of a flip-flopper. She sided with anyone in power and she went back to that alliance when she learned that Genieve didn’t have a real idol.
Sue and Rachel on the other hand were quite close. They knew they could trust each other. They shared information and have consistently voted together for the past several weeks.
They also knew that Teeny was prepared to backstab them without hesitation if it meant she stayed safe. The same goes for Sam. Tonight was the time when allies came in handy. Teeny couldn’t see that because she was congratulating herself for ousting Genieve. She thought that would be considered a big move in front of the panel.
Sam felt differently about the same event. He was worried that his ploy nearly didn’t work because no one trusts him. Both Rachel and Sue were out of idols. The next Immunity Challenge helped put things in prospective. Rachel dominates at challenges. The only real competitor she had was Genieve.
With Genieve gone, Rachel had nothing to worry about. She easily maneuvered her way into the first spot during the relay race. Sue was coming in right behind her. Teeny was in third. Sam was fourth only Sam managed to figure out the clue puzzle first and it put him in the first spot for a minute.
It truly was a mere minute because Rachel caught up to him on the last obstacle. She finished the course first. She won Immunity for the fourth time and was going to be in the final three.
There was no doubt that Sue would be joining her. Again, Sue remained loyal. She was just that sort of person. Rachel was always going to reward that. It was Sam and Teeny that were going to be competing against each other in the fire race. Rachel told them that when they got back to the beach. And Teeny had been worried.
Teeny didn’t want Rachel to win Immunity because she knew she’d be forced to compete with Sam. Teeny hates Sam. She was worried about him being capable and charismatic.
So, Teeny practiced making a fire. Rachel even took pity on her. She helped Teeny practice. Sue was actually watching Sam practice and she knew Teeny had nothing to worry about. Sam sucks at making a fire. He went twenty-five days without ever making one. He has no idea what he was doing. He was worried about embarrassing himself on national tv.
Sue thought the same about Sam. She thought he was going to make a fool of himself. He was losing confidence while Teeny was gaining some and then everything shifted.
Sam reread a letter from home. He got that about two weeks ago. He read over what his father wrote to him. It made him want to try again at making a fire. It helped with his confidence. He gave the fire competition his best. It took him longer than Teeny to start a fire. And he would have lost if there wasn’t a wind problem.
There was wind blowing everywhere. Teeny lost out on her lead. Sam overtook her and he won that challenge. The wind kept blowing Teeny fire to the side. Sam’s fire wasn’t affected as much.
It burned through the rope and he won. Teeny was so heartbroken. She was crying when she lost. She was still glad about how far she’s come, but that fire was going to stick with her for the longest time and it probably hurt the most because she lost to Sam. Sam was the confident person she always wanted to be. Its why she pushed him away at the start of the game and has been trying to get him out.
Teeny admitted she had to make peace with her. If nothing else, “Survivor” showed her that she was a lot more capable than she initially thought. Teeny was eliminated and it was down to three.
Rachel, Sue, and Sam. They enjoyed a fine brunch. They had fruits. They had croissants. Sam even joked that he didn’t like the food and that he was eating just to eat. Which was crazy. They were all starving. They’ve won a few challenges here or there that resulted in a feast and were left to starve for the rest of time.
It was while they were feasting that the panel started talking about the three contestants. Sam was considered scrappy. He was constantly the target and he always found a foothold somehow.
He wasn’t someone that could be doubted. The same goes for Rachel. Rachel was a brilliant mastermind. She never hid her skill or her intelligence. She also orchestrated a great blindside. As for Sue, she was considered the nice one. Sue remained a loyal person and friend. Its how she got into the final three. She played the game with integrity.
The final three have to go before a panel of people they helped eliminate this season. They had to make their case on why they should win a million dollars and they had to handle interrogation well. The panel was very much like a jury. There was going to be a verbal blood bath to get an answer on everything.
Up first was Gabe. Gabe asked how they hope their game will be remembered? Sue said that her legacy was already made. It didn’t matter if she won or not. She was the oldest member to ever be in the final three and she gained her spot there with integrity and honesty.
Sue knows she gets to go home to a five year old that’s incredibly proud of her. She was nothing like Andy. Andy turned on his friends and so Sue helped Rachel oust Andy. Naturally, the panel asked about everyone’s game play.
Sam made himself appear more clever than he was. Rachel made herself seem like she was leading everyone into making a decision. She wasn’t just lucky with the idols and what have yous. Sue was perhaps the most honest because she got blood on her hands and still came across as harmless. And that last one wasn’t what the panel looking for.
They wanted someone who made big moves in the game. The panel voted. It came down to Sam and Rachel. Sue wasn’t even mentioned once.
Rachel eventually won this season of “Survivor”. She joined the others in talking about the game. The pitfalls and everything. And they tried to give great advice to everyone joining next season.
THE END!
