Someone targeted a rapper’s tour bus. The rapper’s name is Turnkot. He was onboard along with his entourage and a couple of girls they picked up that night. The shooter got the bus to stop by blocking the street. He knew the bus wouldn’t plow through. He deliberately forced them to stop and then he shot his way onto the bus. He killed seven people. This included the girls that couldn’t be older than sixteen. Turnkot liked them young. He might have gotten in trouble for that once before and so the feds looked into it.

Yes, the feds. The local cops pointed out that Turnkot made a lot of anti-cop songs. They couldn’t be seen as bias and so they were happy to hand this one over to the feds. The feds quickly found out that Turnkot was known for his interest in young girls. His chief rival even made a song about it. Turnkot and Tariq Ward have been feuding for almost a year. They started out from rival gangs. They’ve since made diss tracks about the other. Tariq has threatened to kill him and so naturally he was their best suspect.

The feds went to go speak to Tariq. He was in a crowd at that time. He played up being big and bad until he pushed Scola. He couldn’t put his hands on a federal agent. He got arrested. Then the real Tariq came out. He was a different person away from the cameras. He was also a lot more honest. He admitted the whole feud was fake. They were barely making money because the labels were taking too much, but a feud brought them additional attention and now Turnkot was Tariq’s cash cow. He wouldn’t kill him because he knew he’d go back to making crap pay.

Tariq even implied that he felt bad for Turnkot because his manager was cheating him. Jeff Mills was known for being shady. He mentioned checking the fuel lines earlier at the scene and that was suspicious because the tour bus was electric. The feds went back to the bus. They checked. It was electric. The “fuel lines” was really empty compartments used to transport drugs. Mills was using his artist to transport drugs all around the country. It was pink cocaine. It wasn’t actually cocaine. It was a mix of several drugs that made it more potent than cocaine.

Mills talked to save himself. He ended up opening a can of worms. He told the feds that the Solanos were running the drugs. They started out as part-time and have quickly taken over the scene. There was literally an open file on them. The feds were already investigating them. They just didn’t know how they were transporting the drugs. The feds also knew that any gang in the tristate area might have hit the tour bus hoping to kick off a drug war and so the tour bus might not be the end of it. New York City could run red if the feds didn’t put a stop to it.

The feds began looking into who was making moves. Their contacts on the street were saying the Grippo family were behind it. Jack Grippo was the head of his own gang. The feds investigated him for years before they found enough evidence to arrest him. Just as they were about to move in, he fled the country. He went to Cuba in 2009. It remained non-extradition country. He’s now been away for sixteen years. The feds thought his gang would falter without him and they were wrong. Jack was still running things. He simply had his son be his man on the ground.

Sonny Grippo has also been investigated for a couple of years now. Again, the feds couldn’t find anything to stick. They questioned Sonny about the tour bus shooting and his sister stopped him from talking. She was also his lawyer. Billie legally changed her last name to distance herself from her father’s memory. Her father’s business has cost her loved ones. Her mom was a casualty herself. Billie hates her father. She wanted her brother away from him and unfortunately she couldn’t protect him from himself.

Sonny knew he was being watched. He led the feds to a decoy in the south while his father came into the country from the north. In spite of that, they still didn’t have enough to arrest Sonny. He and his father were in communication the old school way. They were writing to each other in drafts in Sonny’s email. Jack has been on the Wanted List for almost twenty years. He was smart. He was also going to drag Sonny into this even further and that was enough to convince Billie. Billie agreed to wear a wire when she spoke with her brother.

Billie got him to confess where their dad was. He then noticed her new necklace. Billie usually wore her mother’s pearls and so he asked her about it. She tried to downplay it. He became suspicious. He grabbed the necklace and he saw that it was a wire. He then attacked his sister. He was going to kill her or so she claimed. She killed him to protect herself. She grabbed a letter opener from the desk. She stabbed him in the neck. He died with the feds right outside. Billie did this for Sonny and he died. And so the feds told her to make his death matter.

They got the address from her on where her dad was hiding. He was in a bar that he used as a front. The agents went there and somehow Jack got the jump on Scola. He picked up a few things in Cuba. He was about to escape with his hostage when Scola said Sonny helped them find him. He said “Tom’s place”. Jack then laughed because the bar wasn’t Tom’s. Tom’s was a bowling alley. The feds eventually found Jack and killed him, but Scola started to doubt Billie’s story. He looked into it and it turns out that Sonny never tried to kill his sister. She just made it look that way.

Billie took out her father as well as her brother in order to place herself as the new leader. She even brokered a deal with the Solanos that made the Grippo family stronger than ever. And there’s nothing the feds could do about it.

Isobel was considering retirement before all this and now she was staying on in the hopes of taking down Billie Grippo.
