So maybe Megan Fox isn’t as conceited as we all thought? Could it be? French magazine Jalouse has publicly admitted that they misquoted Fox after excerpts of the interview came online and showed Fox to be a shallow, heartless spoiled rich girl.
Here’s what Jalouse quoted Fox as saying, “(I) live well with my image. I cannot complain. I would not trade my place with an unattractive girl.” Talk about a shallow, self-centered comment to make! But Fox quickly denied the remarks and assured the fans that her words were taken out of context, behind the scenes she was working with the magazine to make things right.
And so now we get an official retraction.
Jalouse editors released the following statement, “In a Jalouse cover story featuring Ms. Megan Fox, we unfortunately misquoted Ms. Fox. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
And Fox made sure to show her fans that she indeed was misquoted. In a post on her Facebook.com page, Fox wrote, “Thank you Jalouse Magazine for printing the following retraction.”
Here are quotes that many reports were saying that Fox told the magazine in an interview (via Gossip Center):
ON HER ROLE IN FRIENDS WITH KIDS:
“I’m Mary Jane, the character played by Adam Scott thinks he is her soulmate. But he has a baby, I’m very independent, and he disapproves of her lifestyle.”
ON SHOOTING MAGAZINE COVERS AND ADS:
“I hate taking pictures, I never watch them, otherwise I would have wanted to change everything. I prefer not to see any and trust the photographer, who knows his job.”
ON BEING LABELED BASED ON HER LOOKS:
“I live well with my image, I cannot complain, I would not trade my place with an unattractive girl.”
Well aren’t you glad we got this all cleared up?
