Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, along with their baby bro Rob Kardashian, are suing the widow of their deceased father, Robert Kardashian, for shopping a set of diaries that contain detailed information of the family’s previous life. Now, as many of you know, Ellen Pearson has already sold significant portions of the diaries to the tabloids, which have used the scandalous info found in the journals to create sensationalized headlines bashing mainly Kris Jenner. Well, guess what? The Kardashian children are super ticked off about all this. Bring on the lawsuits!
They’re suing on the grounds that Pearson has no rights to the diary, being that Robert Kardashian left the writings to his children, and that she’s infringing upon the copyrights of the family.
TMZ reports: The lawsuit alleges the diary is owned lock, stock and barrel by the Kardashian kids and Ellen is infringing on their copyright. The lawsuit demands the return of the diary and family albums, as well as damages. Interesting fact: Robert did NOT include ex-wife Kris in the diary inheritance — just their kids. But Kris is listed as a plaintiff. It’s curious — Kris is NOT suing Ellen for defamation, for putting the brutality allegations out there. So the questions — did Robert Kardashian make the allegations against his ex, and are they true?
They are arguing that Ellen held onto these diaries with the sole intent to one day capitalize on the family’s ever growing fame and brand name. I mean, yeah, that seems like a very plausible argument and, if the Kardashians’ attorney is any good at all (which, duh, I think he just might be), I have a feeling Ellen might want to watch herself over the next couple of months. If Robert Kardashian left the diaries solely to his kids, then, in my eyes, Ellen should get her crazy money-swiping hands off them.
What do you think? I’m sure you all probably want to hear the scandalous details of Kardashian lives past, but do you think it’s right what Ellen has been doing lately with the Robert Kardashian diaries? Let us know in the comments section below!
